Join us for a dinner to close out winter months at Beacon Hill!

This dinner will be celebrating the partnership between our winegrower/owner, George, and our winemaker of the past six years, Sean. They will talk through the wine making process and how decisions being made during the growing season and harvest affect the final product you have in your glass.

This 6 course meal will be crafted and curated in partnership with our winemaker Sean, who is a classically trained chef himself.

The day will will function in two parts:

12:00PM - 2:00PM | Join us for a Wine & Cheese pairing class with local cheese monger!

Kristen Kidney, owner of Newberg’s Good Company Cheese, will be joining us to teach you how to pair wine and cheese and build the perfect charcuterie board for any occasion. For the class, you will be pairing 2 of the new release wines and 1 library wine! All supplies provided, simply come excited (and hungry) for a hands on wine & cheese adventure! *you are welcome to stay and hang out during the Open House after if desired.

Join us for a “day away,” a moment to slow down and realign with God and yourself.

The day will weave together spiritual practices with the current state of the vineyard and harvest. The hope is to provide opportunity to experience God through His creation, while further grounding ourself in identity found in Him. The day will oscillate between group study and time of solitude. The day will also include a meditative wine tasting and will conclude with a banquet lunch feast!

This retreat will be lead by Sarah Cooper and Caitlin Stowe. Sarah is a Spiritual Director whose primary focus is on drawing close to God through relationship and the many ways God reveals Himself to us. Caitlin is on staff with Beacon Hill Winery and is an ordained minister with a passion for prayer and living from a posture of perpetual learning and loving. Both would identity as non-denominational Christians, but prefer to simply look at their faith through the lens of their relationship with Jesus, God the Father, and the Holy Spirit.

Ben Rice’s music blends Soul, Delta-Blues, Rockabilly, Jazz, and Funk into a Roots Stew. Ben has been leaving huge impressions on audiences around the Northwest and winning awards for his vocals and guitar playing for the last seven years. In 2014 at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN he left the audience speechless with a raw emotional delivery of his version of “Key To The Highway.” On his second consecutive trip to the International Blues Challenge, he made the finals in the solo/duo category and was awarded the St. Blues Guitarist award for best guitarist.

Joining us for a family-style 6 to 7 course meal curated by Field and Vine accompanied by wines from Beacon Hill and produce by Marion Acres.

Marion Acres, a multi-family pasture based farm located in historic Helvetia just 20 min outside of Portland. This will be year 8 of raising chicken, beef, pork, turkey & eggs on 47 acres of lush green hills. On top of their farm sits their brand new farm market; Helvetia Farm Market where they not only sell all of their fresh pasture-raised, grass-fed meat, but also work with over 200+ local farmers, producers and artisans to sell all the goods you might find in a standard grocery store, but everything they offer is from a local company! Marion Acres and Helvetia Farm Market is now the only farm in the US that offers the complete on farm experience from raising a day old chick, seeing it through humane processing, and finally offering cuts & sliced deli meat inside their on-farm market.
