Pinot Noir is very special to us as both wine growers and as Oregonians. Rosé of Pinot Noir is a refreshing introduction to the amazing summer months ahead. Cultivated with great care, we leave extra foliage on the vines of this vineyard block to ensure it ripens perfectly. The beautiful salmon color reveals the fascinating character that this wine expresses. 2016 was a more balanced growing season even with it being the earliest harvest of Beacon Hill's records.
- Varietal: 100% Wadenswil clone of Pinot Noir.
- Farming: Beacon Hill Vineyard, Block 11, planted in 1989. LIVE Certified and Salmon Safe. Vineyard specific Pinot Noir cultivated specifically for this Rosé.
- Winemaking: Picked fruit two weeks earlier than the other Pinot Noir on the property to retain acidity and tannin structure. Whole clusters pressed off of the skins immediately. Fermented in stainless steel tanks for six months.
